WA Duplication offer you a professional video transfer and conversion service regardless of the format your video is currently in. We capture your video (formats including VHS, SVHS, VHSC, SVHC, Beta, Betamax, Video8, Hi8, Digital8 and Umatic 3/4inch, MiniDV, Digital 8, DVCam) at the highest possible quality to a DVD that will play in your home DVD player or computer.
As a guide, we can fit approx 90 minutes of video onto a DVD at 100% full quality. If your videos are longer than 90 minutes, there are two options, reduce the quality which is not recommended, or split it onto multiple DVD's. Generally, the quality of your DVD will be better than your original analogue video tape.
Our transfer service includes digitising your video through our specialised professional transcoding & digitising unit into a high end editing suite, adding chapters and titles, authoring and burning it onto DVD, ondisc printing of the details, plus a DVD case and Slick insert.
As we use 'state of the art' analogue to digital conversion, editing and authoring systems during the transfer process, we can also provide a 'digital re-mastering' service to correct faults and enhance your original footage. View our Editing page or Contact us for further details.
Beware of Cheaper Video to DVD conversions. Without going into all the technical complexities, unless your service provider is digitising your video from analogue to digital via a specialised professional transcoding & digitising unit while capturing it, you are paying for what you get, an inferior product. We advise you to do your homework and ask all the relevant questions before accepting cheaper quotes.

Why not get some extra copies for the rest of the family. We can provide extra copies of your DVD for only $15.00 each.
Another option worth considering. If your DVD is damaged or lost, your only option is to go through the whole process again and by then, your original videos will have deteriorated even more. Why not have a Digital Backup done now where we provide a digital master on MiniDV tape for only $25.00 per hour of footage. This has two advantages. Firstly as a digital master backup in case of any mishaps, but also, as digital master for future technologies.
High definition, dual layer and Blu-Ray are now comming of age and who knows what technology we will be watching on our TV's in 5 years time. Your digital master on MiniDV can be converted to any of the new emerging technologies of the future including High Definition, Wide Screen and Blue Ray. MiniDV will store your footage at full quality native DV. Due to current technology, your current DVD's are not nearly as good a quality as raw native DV and as such, cannot be upgraded to the future quality and technology just around the corner, whereas, raw native DV on MiniDV can. It's definitely worth considering a Digital Master Backup which could save you a fortune in the future.
